The LBH is privately funded and relies on donations from our supporters, especially as private foundation giving and federal funding is decreasing nationwide. All sizes of financial contributions make a difference for the children and families we serve in all our programs. Financial donations are most needed at this time to support our ongoing programs. Here are some examples of how your money may be used.
$5000- a year supply of clothing and toys for 10 children or two months of residential substance abuse treatment for mom
$1000- one month of intensive therapy for 2 children, 3 months of socialization and self esteem building activities for a family.
$500- one months supply of meals/snacks for youth and families in afterschool programs, one month of therapy services for a family unit. One month of parenting classes
$200- external socialization activity for 10 youth or one month groceries for family of 4.

-video games for Playstation Portable systems (youth and teen only- No Mature ratings)
-Size 5 and 6 diapers and GoodNight pampers for older children
-Gift certificates to activity places and grocery stores (i.e., movie theaters, Giant, Safeway, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Laser Tag)
-Visa gift cards for youth and families to individualize needed items
-clothes for youth sizes 8-18 boy and girl (please call or email for specific sizes)
-lap top computers
-underclothes for youth sizes 8-18
Items needed continually
-White copy/printer paper
-Printer ink (HP 56- black, HP 57- tri color, HP 15- black, HP 78- tri color, HP 96- black)
-non perishable food items for food pantry
-hygiene items for youth (soap, deodrant, laundry detergent, lotion)
-metro cards and bus cards for youth and families
