Mission and Board of Directors |
The Little Blue House provides a loving shelter for, and attends to the basic human needs of, young children (under age 4) in our Metropolitan Washington, DC, community who do not have a suitable, safe home.
We select, train, and support our staff as they provide the around-the-clock love and care critical to our children's development and emotional well-being.
We give our children a healthy start and improve their chances for a healthy future by giving, willingly and generously, our love and attention, our time and our energy.
The Little Blue House is run by a hard-working, volunteer board of directors.
The Board includes top-level executives of national corporations, a pediatrician, and several dedicated local professionals within the Metropolitan DC area. All are committed to the mission of The Little Blue House, and have used their contacts, their professional and personal knowledge, and much of their time and energy to establish and support this organization.
